Andrew McCluggage is a trial lawyer with over 16 years of experience in high-stakes civil litigation.  Prior to joining Moye Law Firm in 2025, Andy was an Equity Partner at a large national Texas-based defense firm, where he defended trucking companies, product manufactures, construction contractors, retail establishments, and others in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death litigation throughout Texas.  He served as the Administrative Partner of the 70+ lawyer Houston office of his prior Firm for seven years.  

Andy’s deep understanding of the defense playbook gives him a strategic advantage when advocating for injured Texans. He understands how companies and their insurers evaluate risk, defend lawsuits, and make settlement/trial decisions, and puts that knowledge to work for his clients, holding corporations accountable to ensure that his clients receive the justice and compensation they deserve. 

Andy’s practice spans all areas of personal injury law, including trucking and vehicle collisions, workplace injuries, construction accidents, product liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, and petrochemical accidents. 

Andy has first and second chair trial experience in wrongful death and injury cases from the Permian Basin to North Texas, and down to the Gulf Coast. His courtroom approach is marked by careful case preparation, strategic focus, and the ability to communicate complex facts clearly and persuasively. Andy is respected by clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel for his professionalism and tenacity.   

Andy graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in history and obtained a Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law.  He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas. He is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and regularly presents on litigation strategy and trial tactics. 

Andy lives in Sugar Land, Texas, where he was born and raised, with his wife and two children.  He served for several years as a Board Member of First Colony Little League and enjoys traveling with his family and rooting for the Aggies, Astros, and Texans.  Andy is a licensed private pilot and is a fierce supporter of experimental/homebuilt and recreational aviation.
